The Trump administration Wednesday told public school districts across the nation that they no longer have to allow transgender students to use the bathroom that matches their gender identity

The word came in a statement from Education Secretary Betsey DeVos that she was withdrawing a directive issued under President Barack Obama that required school districts to let transgender students use whichever bathroom conformed to their gender identity or risk the loss of federal funding

At the same time, the Trump administration told the Supreme Court that the Obama administration bathroom directive had been withdrawn. The court was scheduled to hear a challenge to the directive next month

The Trump withdrawal of the Obama directive drew immediate criticism from gay and lesbian groups, which accused him of backtracking on a campaign pledge to protect transgender students

“What could possibly motivate a blind and cruel attack on young children like this?” asked Chad Griffin, president of the Human Rights Campaign, which bills itself as the nation’s largest civil rights organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer people. “These transgender students simply want to go to school in the morning without fear of discrimination or harassment

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) is asking for Christine Blasey Ford, the first woman to accuse Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault, to turn over notes from her therapy sessions and recordings of the lie detector test she took

Grassley made the request in a letter sent to Ford's attorneys on Tuesday night, according to The Wall Street Journal. The letter also asks for exchanges she's had with the media, and says that he is making the request because her sexual assault claim has "put Judge Kavanaugh on trial before the nation

Ford is accusing Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her at a high school party in the 1980's. She and Kavanaugh testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee last week in regards to her claims.

Kavanaugh has fiercely denied the allegation

The Journal noted that Grassley also questioned the truthfulness of Ford's testimony in the letter

Ford told senators she only discussed the lie-detector test with her lawyers. She also said she did not receive any tips on how to pass a polygraph

Grassley said in the letter that the committee had received a sworn statement from an unidentified ex-boyfriend of Ford's that raised "specific concerns about the reliability of her polygraph examination results

"The Senate therefore needs this information," he said in the letter

The US military says it is cancelling $300m (£230m) in aid to Pakistan over what it calls Islamabad's failure to take action against militant groups

President Donald Trump has previously accused Pakistan of deceiving the US while receiving billions of dollars

Pentagon spokesman Lt Col Koné Faulkner said the US military would aim to spend the money on other "urgent priorities"
The move, which needs to be approved by the US Congress, is part of a broader suspension announced in January

The US state department has criticised Pakistan, a key ally, for failing to deal with terrorist networks operating on its soil, including the Haqqani network and the Afghan Taliban

"We continue to press Pakistan to indiscriminately target all terrorist groups," Col Faulkner said in a statement on Saturday, adding that the $300m aid - which had earlier been suspended - should be used elsewhere due to "a lack of Pakistani decisive actions" in tackling the issue

The announcement comes just days before US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is due to visit Pakistan to meet the country's new prime minister, Imran Khan

In January, the US government announced it was cutting almost all security aid to the country

How will US move to cut aid affect Pakistan?
US rhetoric on Pakistan raises serious questions
The US and others have long complained that Pakistan provides a safe haven to militant networks, allowing them to carry out cross-border attacks in Afghanistan - something that Islamabad denies

There was no immediate comment from Pakistan on the latest funding cut

However, the military responded to January's suspension by arguing that it "never fought for money but for peace", and had targeted all militants at a "heavy cost of blood and treasure"

Separately on Friday, the US said it was ending all funding for the UN's Palestinian refugee agency - the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (Unrwa) - which it described as "irredeemably flawed"

Who are the militants Pakistan is alleged to support?
The Haqqani network is a militant group that focuses most of its activities on neighbouring Afghanistan, which has complained for years that Pakistan allows it to operate unimpeded from its soil across the border

The group is linked to the Afghan Taliban - a hardline Islamist movement that poses a major threat to the Afghan government. Pakistani Taliban groups, while associated with the Afghan Taliban, focus on attacks within Pakistan

Does someone really believe that Kavanaugh is the raping, murdering criminal that the lefts are making him? That all those women who told nothing but good things about his character are simply not telling the truth? Who really knows, right

As is mentioned in the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendment, a man can be convicted with no facts nor evidence based on uncorroborated memories from 35 years ago. And an allegation of sexual assault is not just a tiny walk in the park. If what Christine Ford turns out to be true, then the behavior of Kavanaugh was undeniably wrong. But can we really say its true

She said that she blurry remembers that around 35 years ago (she thinks), he forced her into a room, turned the music up to cover the sound of her screaming, put his hand over her mouth, tried to undress her as she tackled to get away, and gave her the most unpleasant treatment that she almost thought she will die

But the real question asked here is if all of this is actually true? If it is, then why did Christine choose to go to a politician and not a law enforcement member? I sure as hell wouldn’t do that

More and more is coming out about Spy gate. The Obama administration tried to take over the FBI’s investigation of the Trump campaign, according to The Hill’s John Solomon. He covered it last night on Hannity’s show and then wrote on it extensively at The Hill.

Solomon claims that the FBI began spying on members of the Trump campaign to gather the intelligence that ultimately justified the collusion investigation, weeks or even months before the FBI had a formal predicate. If true, the whole thing was cooked up and premeditated. It was indeed a pre-planned coup and President Trump is about to drop the presidential hammer on all of them

“That’s very important. The rules say you can’t use sources until you have a predicated investigation. The predication is July 31, 2016,” Solomon told Hannity. The investigative reporter said he had sources and documents backing up his claim that he would be making public in his report in The Hill on Friday and he did just that

Solomon started off his well-researched piece with this

“The bridge to the Russia investigation wasn’t erected in Moscow during the summer of the 2016 election

“It originated earlier, 1,700 miles away in London, where foreign figures contacted Trump campaign advisers and provided the FBI with hearsay allegations of Trump-Russia collusion, bureau documents and interviews of government insiders reveal. These contacts in spring 2016 — some from trusted intelligence sources, others from Hillary Clinton supporters — occurred well before FBI headquarters authorized an official counterintelligence investigation on July 31, 2016

“The new timeline makes one wonder: Did the FBI follow its rules governing informants

A very good question and of course the answer is a resounding “no

Solomon stressed that informants were making contacts with the Trump officials and providing information to the FBI “much, much earlier than July 31.” Then he drops the bombshell that according to the FBI, the White House and Obama wanted to take over the whole investigation. Here is where that led on Sean Hannity’s show last night

John Solomon: I’m putting finishing touches on a column that I think will come out tomorrow. And it will reveal two really important things. The efforts to begin targeting and reaching out to Trump campaign officials to gain intelligence on Russia that would ultimately justify the investigation began weeks and maybe months before the FBI had a formal predicate. And that’s very important the rules say you can’t use sources until you have a predicated investigation

The investigation is July 31, 2016. My sources and documents that I will be able to make public tomorrow will show that there were contacts going on by people identified as informers, informants, people who provided information began much, much earlier than July 31st. That’s the first part. The second part is as the investigation was just starting to ramp up there are internal FBI documents showing FBI agents talking about the White House trying to take over the investigation. Fears that the Justice Department were going to leak for political reasons and their own personal fear

Trump About To Drop Presidential Hammer On Obama

Michelle Obama got back on the campaign trail for the Democrats giving a speech in Las Vegas. The former first lady said she’s tired of “all the chaos and nastiness” and then shouted to the crowd about her husband, “We had a great president.” Well, Michelle was shocked as she was told to shut up and sit down

The Democratic Party is so desperate to win in November that they put Michelle Obama back on the campaign trail. Mrs. Obama started out in Las Vegas Sunday night where she told the leftist crowd, “We get the leaders we vote for, we get the policies we vote for, and when we don’t vote, that’s when we wind up with government of, by and for other people,” Michelle said at the “When We All Vote” event

She went on, “Because you can’t vote some of the time and then sit out. You know we saw that happen. We experienced that. We had a great president

On “Fox & Friends” on Tuesday, Tomi Lahren took issue, in particular, with Michelle Obama’s “we had a great president” remark. “By what measure?” Lahren said. “By what measure was her husband a better president than the current president? Because not in economic growth, not in border security and enforcement, not in diplomatic relations, not in making the United States … strong on the international and national stage

She wondered why Democrats are apparently counting on the Obamas to help their chances heading into the midterm elections after they failed to drive people to the polls for Hillary Clinton

“They couldn’t get people out in that election, but now somehow [they’re] supposed to follow Michelle and Barack Obama and that’s going to save the Democratic Party?” Lahren said. “Eh, I don’t think so

WASHINGTON, D.C.—In the midst of Judge Kavanaugh’s ongoing confirmation process, Bill Clinton offered a few words in order to discourage the Senate from confirming the man to the Supreme Court, claiming that “allegations of sexual misconduct should disqualify a man from public office

Speaking to an interviewer on MSNBC, Clinton came out swinging, stating in no uncertain terms that “any single allegation of sexual misconduct should immediately call into question a man’s ability to help lead a nation

“How can you trust somebody who has some accusations against them?” he said thoughtfully. “I know for my part, if a judge or president had even a single allegation—let alone several credible ones wouldn’t want that person to be representing our entire country. It just wouldn’t make any sense
